We are an independent provider

The Oncology Resident is an independent educational provider. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by the Royal College of Radiologists, the NHS, or any examining body. Your data is collected and controlled solely by us, not on behalf of any third party.

What we collect and why

• Your name and email address — to create and run your account, give you access to the content you've subscribed to, send essential account and subscription emails (receipts, renewals, password resets), respond to your enquiries, and — only if you opt in — send educational or marketing updates.

• Account and usage data — your login details (passwords stored encrypted) and your progress within the platform, to provide your study analytics.

• Payment details — handled securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your card details.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Legal basis: to provide the service you've signed up for (contract), to operate and communicate about it (legitimate interests), and your consent (for optional marketing, which you can withdraw any time).

Who we share it with

Only the service providers who help us run the platform — our payment processor, email provider, website host and analytics tool — each bound to keep your data secure and use it only as instructed. We may also disclose data where required by law.

How long we keep it

For as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or transfer your data, or object to its use, and you can withdraw marketing consent at any time. Email theoncologyresident@gmail.com and we'll respond within one month.
